You’ve always been a downtown person. Park walks, restaurant hopping, somewhere with a pulse. But intown Atlanta prices? WOOOF. Hard pass! So you took your search to the suburbs, half-expecting to settle. And somewhere between the cul-de-sacs and the chain restaurants, you found the gem nobody’s talking about. While everyone else fights traffic further up GA-400, they’re sleeping on Marietta. Charm, nightlife, green space, a farmers market, an actual community, and a price that doesn’t make you wince. This has to be too good to be true, right? Picture the first Friday. You close your laptop and walk out the door. No car needed. The Marietta Square is a few minutes away on foot, and tonight there’s live music coming off the rooftop at the old Strand Theatre with that awesome 1935 marquee lit up over the whole square. Grab some dinner at a spot where they already know your order, or go to the Marietta Square Market if you want some variety.Grab a pint at the Celtic pub. Then you walk home. No Uber needed. Saturday it’s the farmers market on the same square. Next month it’s the First Friday art walk. There’s always something happening down there, and now down there is basically your front yard. The townhouse earns it. Built in 2020 and still feels like new. It is move-in ready, the kind where the hardest call is which wall the couch goes on and where to mount the TV. It has an open main floorplan that pulls in tons of natural light, a white kitchen, a huge stainless steel single bowl kitchen sink, quartz countertops that glimmer in the moonlight, room to cook and host and actually live. Three real bedrooms up with the laundry where it belongs, no hauling baskets down two flights. Two-car garage, a patio, and a community with its own dog park and firepit for the nights you’d rather not go anywhere at all. When you want more, it’s right there. City Club golf a mile away. Kennesaw Mountain for the trail. I-75 for the city. But most days the square is plenty. Or maybe the Gone with the Wind Museum. Why not? Live a little. You’ll show up expecting a catch.
